Publication Ethics

The International Journal of Academic Research and Technical Innovation (IJARTI) is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical practice in scholarly publishing. To maintain trust in the academic record, all stakeholders—authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers—must adhere to the following ethical guidelines:

1. Responsibilities of Authors

  • Originality & Plagiarism

    • Authors must submit only original work.

    • Plagiarism, duplication, fabrication, or falsification of data is strictly prohibited.

    • All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin/iThenticate).

  • Authorship

    • Only individuals who made a substantial contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research should be listed as authors.

    • Contributions must be clearly acknowledged, and all authors must approve the final version before submission.

  • Acknowledgment of Sources

    • Proper acknowledgment of all sources and previous work must be provided through accurate citations and references.

  • Data Transparency

    • Authors should provide raw data or supplementary materials when requested for editorial review or replication studies.

  • Conflicts of Interest

    • Any financial, professional, or personal conflicts of interest must be disclosed.

  • Corrections & Retractions

    • If errors are discovered post-publication, authors must promptly notify the editor and cooperate in issuing corrections, retractions, or errata.

2. Responsibilities of Editors

  • Fair and Impartial Review

    • Editorial decisions are based solely on the academic merit, originality, and relevance of the manuscript, without bias regarding race, gender, religion, nationality, or institutional affiliation.

  • Confidentiality

    • Editors must treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential documents.

    • No manuscript or related information may be disclosed to unauthorized parties.

  • Conflict of Interest

    • Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where conflicts of interest exist.

  • Publication Decisions

    • Editors ensure manuscripts undergo rigorous peer review and decide on acceptance, revision, or rejection based on reviewer feedback and ethical standards.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Contribution to Editorial Decisions

    • Reviewers assist editors in evaluating manuscripts objectively and improving quality through constructive feedback.

  • Confidentiality

    • Manuscripts must be treated as confidential and not used for personal advantage.

  • Objectivity & Integrity

    • Reviews must be fair, unbiased, and supported by clear arguments.

    • Reviewers should highlight relevant published work that has not been cited.

  • Conflict of Interest

    • Reviewers must decline review assignments if conflicts of interest exist (financial, institutional, personal, or collaborative).

4. Responsibilities of the Publisher (IJARTI)

  • Ensures the integrity of the publication process by enforcing ethical standards.

  • Maintains archival preservation and permanent availability of published works.

  • Provides timely corrections, retractions, or clarifications in cases of misconduct.

  • Manuscript rejection or withdrawal.

  • Retraction of published articles.

  • Notification of authors’ institutions or funding agencies.
